The birth anniversary of Jyotirao Phule was celebrated with great respect and enthusiasm in our school on 11th April. The program aimed to create awareness among students about his valuable contributions to society.
The celebration began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Jyotirao Phule by the Principal and Teachers. Students delivered speeches highlighting his role as a social reformer who fought against caste discrimination and worked for equality.
A special mention was made of his efforts in promoting education, especially for girls, along with his wife, Savitribai Phule. Their contribution to starting the first girls’ school in Pune was appreciated by all.
Teachers also spoke about the establishment of the Satyashodhak Samaj and its role in promoting social justice and equality. Various activities such as essay writing, poster making, and group discussions were organized for students.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, encouraging everyone to follow the ideals of Mahatma Phule and work towards a more just and equal society.
Overall, the celebration was informative and inspiring for all students and staff.
