An Eco-Friendly Ganpati Making Workshop was organized at K. K. Engineering College,Nashik with the aim of promoting environmental awareness among students and encouraging them to celebrate festivals responsibly.

Students were guided on the harmful effects of Plaster of Paris idols, chemical colours and other non-biodegradable materials on the environment and water bodies.

Under the guidance of the teachers and resource persons, students enthusiastically participated in making beautiful eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idols using natural and biodegradable materials, especially clay. The activity provided students with an opportunity to learn about traditional art and develop their creativity and artistic skills.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of using natural colours, avoiding plastic decorations and choosing environmentally safe materials. Students actively participated in the activity and displayed great enthusiasm and creativity while making their idols.

The workshop concluded with a message to “Celebrate with devotion, creativity and responsibility.” The activity successfully sensitized students towards environmental conservation and encouraged them to adopt sustainable practices during festivals.
