Marathi Day Celebrations

Marathi Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school on 27th February to honor the Marathi language and the great poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known as Kusumagraj. The programme was organized to spread awareness about the richness and importance of the Marathi language and literature.

The celebration began with a prayer followed by a welcome speech by the teacher. Students spoke about the life and works of Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar and explained why this day is celebrated as Marathi Bhasha Din. Many students delivered speeches, recited Marathi poems, and presented short skits highlighting Marathi culture and traditions.

Teachers also shared valuable thoughts about the importance of preserving our mother tongue. Various activities such as essay writing, poetry recitation, and storytelling were organized for students. The programme helped students develop respect and love for the Marathi language.
