The English Department of the school organised an Inter-House Debate Competition as part of the celebrations of English Language Week. The competition aimed to enhance students’ English communication skills, confidence, critical thinking, public speaking abilities, and awareness of current issues.

The participants were given thought-provoking topics and were required to speak both for and against the motion. They presented their arguments confidently and supported their views with examples, facts, and logical reasoning.

The competition witnessed an impressive display of confidence, vocabulary, and debating skills. The audience appreciated the students’ well-structured arguments and effective rebuttals. The judges evaluated the participants on the basis of content, fluency, pronunciation, confidence, presentation, logical reasoning, and overall impact.
